The 24th edition of SECON & eGISEC, held from March 19th to 21st , 2025, at KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea, marked a significant milestone as Asia’s premier integrated security exhibition.
Spanning over 28,000 m², the event welcomed 410 companies from 15 countries and regions, including the United States, China, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand. With a total of 25,805 visitors from 35 countries, the exhibition reinforced its status as a globally influential platform for the security industry. This year’s exhibition showcased groundbreaking advancements in both physical and cybersecurity domains, emphasising the industry’s shift towards convergence and AI-driven solutions.
As the megatrend of SECON & eGISEC 2025 was “A New Security Paradigm Powered by AI.”, below are some of the key innovations and trends observed at the event.
AI-Powered Security Systems
Artificial Intelligence took center stage at SECON & eGISEC 2025, with numerous exhibitors unveiling AI-integrated security solutions. Suprema introduced ‘BioStar X’ solution that integrates AI-based recognition system for access control and video surveillance, enhancing real-time threat detection and response. Similarly, DEEPNOID presented ‘SkyMaruSecurity’, an aviation security solution that leverages AI and real-time X-ray image analysis to rapidly detect 20 types of prohibited items, significantly enhancing screening efficiency. INCON also introduced the Active AI VMS, a next-generation convergence intelligent event management system that enables active decision-making by analysing events through interworking with heterogeneous equipment and solutions.
Converged Security Solutions
The integration of physical and cybersecurity was a prominent theme. AhnLab showcased its latest security solutions built upon 30 years of comprehensive security expertise, including subsidiaries like NAONWORKS, Jason, and AhnLab CloudMate, offering specialised technologies in OT/ICS, AI, and MSP.
Zero-Trust and IoT Security
With the proliferation of IoT devices, ensuring their security became paramount. ZIEN introduced ‘Z-Sentinel’, an AI-based zero-trust IoT security platform that provides agentless functions to automatically identify IoT devices without installing separate agents. Additionally, ‘Z-IoT’ offers XIoT firmware security automatic inspection to quickly and accurately identify security vulnerabilities in IoT devices. At the SECON & eGISEC 2025 conference, ZIEN’s CEO, Mr. Young-Min Cho, delivered a compelling presentation titled “IoT Security Innovation: Device Identification and Anomaly Detection.” During his session, Mr. Cho addressed the growing risk posed by compromised IoT devices, citing recent incidents as evidence of the urgent need for enhanced security measures. He emphasised the importance of robust identification protocols and real-time anomaly detection to protect against evolving cyber threats targeting connected environments.
Real-Time Data Protection
iNeb Inc. presented a real-time log and file encryption technology that encrypts data the moment it is generated, making it essential for industries such as finance, public sector, and medical fields where both security and real-time processing are critical.
Advanced Surveillance Technologies
Focus H&S unveiled ‘FaceSearch’, a system that automatically searches for missing persons in CCTV footage by analysing photos and videos, enhancing public safety efforts.
International Showcase:
Nx Witness by U.S. based Network Optix, is a versatile, cross-platform Video Management System (VMS) designed to streamline the management of IP video surveillance systems. It offers a user-friendly interface, robust scalability, and extensive integration capabilities, making it suitable for various applications, from small installations to large enterprise environments. Taiwanese manufacturer in industrial computing, Axiomtek Co., Ltd, showcases a suite of next-generation cybersecurity and smart edge solutions such as INA200 Din-Rail Cybersecurity Gateway and NA366 Desktop Network Appliance Platform.
Complementing the exhibition, SECON & eGISEC 2025 conference hosted over 116 sessions with 26 tracks, covering critical topics such as industrial security, integrated surveillance control, aviation security, counterterrorism strategies, and personal data protection. The show underscored the security industry’s commitment to innovation and integration. The showcased advancements reflect a collective effort to address emerging threats and enhance safety across various sectors.
As digital landscapes continue to evolve, the integration of AI and the adoption of zero-trust frameworks will be pivotal in shaping the future of security. Poised to return from March 18 to 20 next year, SECON & eGISEC plans to expand its exhibition space more than 30,000 m², hosting over 400 exhibitors, attracting 30,000 professional visitors and above, as well as featuring over 100 conferences and seminars.
